Basseterre, St. Kitts
Coastal Cruise and Beach Day

We’ve been to St. Kitts before and have seen most of the island, so this time we decided to take it easy.
We chose a ship excursion called “Coastal Cruise, Steel Band and Beach.” We love steel band music and was really excited about the idea of cruising over to Nevis while enjoying some good live tunes.
I have to admit, we was a little disappointed when I realized the “Steel Band” was actually a one-man act with some backing tracks. Not quite what I imagined! But after a Spiked Punch or two, the music started sounding a whole lot better—and we ended up really enjoying it after all.

The beautiful beach on Nevis was just what we needed—calm, sunny, and relaxing. The cruise to and from the island was filled with music, laughter, more spiked punch, and a boat full of very relaxed tourists. It was the perfect laid-back day in the Caribbean.
